We are looking to appoint someone who will build on the measurable academic momentum built in the last few years. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of school leadership in this key role and will need to have a proven record of success in academic leadership. There will be an appropriate teaching commitment, however the post will not be dependent upon the applicant’s specialist subject.

At Tranby we provide an ‘all through’ education from 3 to 18 years for both boys and girls. Every aspect of school life complements the others, and it is precisely this rounded education which produces independent and confident young people with the drive to make the most of every opportunity and a desire to make a difference in the world. Pupils in the Prep and Senior Schools have a wealth of opportunity to work on collaborative projects which support the coherent educational journey we provide.

The academic heart of the school is characterised by the warm relationships between staff and students, which balance a careful blend of support and challenge. We are academically selective, but not narrowly so, and we place very great importance on the nurture and development of the talents of each individual student. This is not a school to force anyone into a mould, and we are very proud of that. Our size allows for small classes, but we are large enough to be able to offer a wide range of subjects and an impressive extra-curricular programme.
