The Role
St. Anthony’s School for Girls is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head who is well-organised, flexible, hands-on, with strong management skills and personal empathy, a collegiate style, and the highest standards of integrity.
Candidates should be an experienced educationalist who has held a leadership post with the requisite skills to support the strategy and management issues of such a successful independent day school. It is essential that candidates demonstrate empathy with the academically creative and child-centred ethos of the School.
We invite candidates who are supportive of a Catholic ethos, to cover the maternity leave of our Deputy Head for a fixed term one-year period.
The Deputy Head is responsible for the quality of teaching and learning and the pastoral welfare of the girls throughout the school, together with the Headteacher and Head of Curriculum. As Deputy Head, the post involves supporting the Headteacher and deputising in his absence.
The curriculum prepares girls for entry into the major Independent schools many of whom are part of the Consortium or follow the ISEB and Common Entrance curriculum.

Hours of work: 8.00am until 4.00pm
Salary: In accordance with the Alpha Plus scale.
