We are currently judged to be in the 'special measures' category following our inspection in May 2017. Ofsted acknowledges that arrangements are in place to address their findings, but they have not been in place long enough yet to eradicate all weaknesses. They also made comment that Sandown Bay Academy did not feel like an inadequate school, but this judgement was the best way for the sake of the students to ensure the rapid progress needed.
