Job overview

Deputy Head Primary

The British School Al Khubairat (BSAK) is looking to employ a Deputy Head for the Primary School. The position is to replace the current incumbent who is leaving to take up the role as Head of Primary at Alice Smith School in Kuala Lumpur. The position will commence in late August 2020.

The role of the Deputy Head is to support the Head of Primary, Headmaster and Board of Governors in continuing to develop a dynamic, forward thinking, world class international school that is committed to high academic excellence and a holistic education. The Deputy Head will have responsibilities that contribute to the strategic development of the Primary School, teaching and learning and the line management of senior staff.

Key to the above will be a seminal contribution to framing and communicating the shared vision for BSAK built upon the creation and delivery of an achievement culture achieved through a high calibre strategy.

Much is expected from this role, which is seen as the ideal preparation for Headship.

In order to meet ADEK (local) requirements all candidates must be able to demonstrate they have held a position with management responsibility.

BSAK is a member of BSME, COBIS, HMC and IAPS and has recently been rated Outstanding by ADEK and British Schools Overseas (BSO).

If you are interested in applying for this position please complete the application form found in the vacancies part of our website www.britishschool.sch.ae. A detailed information booklet, including the job description is available on the website for further information about the role.

Early applications are advised as BSAK reserves the right to make an early appointment.

The closing date for applications is Friday the 3rd of January, 2020.
