We are seeking a new Deputy Head who can support the Head Teacher and work with other members of the Senior Leadership Team with the effective running of the school. A strong people person who can be a good role model for both staff and pupils is a must! We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced teacher with leadership skills who is excited by innovative practice and wants to make a difference to the lives of all the children at Maple Walk. You will have strong decision-making skills, excellent organisation skills, be approachable, with a kind & sympathetic manner.
The postholder will have class teaching responsibilities (circa 0.5), coach and mentor other staff, carry out regular lesson observations, assist with performance reviews and parents evenings & meetings, organise events, rotas, assist with the timetable and contribute to the school development plan.

The role is term time only (173 days) plus twelve training days throughout the year, with the expectation that additional days may be worked as necessary for the successful delivery of the role. Benefits include membership of the TPS and Wellbeing/Health cover.
