Turnfurlong Junior School is an exciting and dynamic school where we strive to provide a creative, happy and safe environment, in which all children are inspired to achieve success. We are a high performing and oversubscribed 3 form junior located in the heart of Aylesbury.

About you

As Deputy Headteacher you will have the knowledge and expertise to support our school on its journey to Outstanding. You will inspire, challenge and support others to enable them to achieve more than they ever thought possible. You will be an outstanding leader, teacher and role model for all and will have a proven track-record of leadership at middle or senior level. The successful candidate will nurture a culture of professional development that is integrated seamlessly into everyday practice, being bold, optimistic and tenacious in setting and achieving high standards.

You will have:

  • The ability to inspire and motivate teams as well as lead by example
  • A strong understanding of whole school improvement
  • Strong leadership that consistently strives to gain the best for each and every child
  • Excellent communication skills for all stakeholders with the ability to build relationships with parents, other schools and the wider community
  • The ability to set and deliver aspirational targets and high-quality provision for all our students
