About the role

The team at Longdon Park School are passionate about making the school a special place that pupils enjoy coming to every single day. We have an opportunity for a new Deputy Headteacher to help provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of children and young people and produces positive outcomes.

Working with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the school has effective management and the required team capability to further develop and continually improve.

You will be joining an experienced and committed staff team and will have the opportunity to help set the direction of our successful school that is unique in its region.

This is a School that excels by adopting new strategies and is not interested in standing still.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to hear from dynamic and passionate individuals with experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. We are looking for someone who knows how to bring a creative and innovative approach to improving performance and support for our pupils and their families. An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for Longdon Park School, and will have demonstrable experience of working in partnership with parents, local authorities and other stakeholders. If you are a truly inspirational, highly motivated and forward thinking leader, with the energy and passion to change lives coupled with proven experience of whole school development and improvement, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Longdon Park School provides an all-round outstanding learning experience for vulnerable children, enabling them to overcome previous setbacks through a disrupted education.

The ethos of Longdon Park, opened in 2015, replicates the model of its hugely successful, award-winning sister school: Longdon Hall.

Longdon Park School caters for children and young people aged 7-18 who have a range of complex behavioural, communication and social difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
