Job overview

Responsible for Quality of Education, Standards and Staff Development

We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, aspirational and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join the forward thinking and ambitious team at Danecourt School.

We are seeking an outstanding leader who has an appetite for innovation, exceptional communication skills and who can inspire all stakeholders. With a passion for working with children with SEN and their families, you will embrace coaching approaches, be creative and flexible and, as with all staff, be non-judgmental, unconditionally accepting and highly resilient. As Deputy you will lead on teaching and learning and deputise for the Headteacher in her absence.

The position will commence in September 2021 and offers a unique opportunity to play a senior role in leading and developing the new satellite provisions based at two mainstream schools within the Maritime Trust.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing a person-centred curriculum and driving high standards of teaching and learning. Experience of working in a special school setting is desirable but not essential.

We have an excellent local reputation and offer a supportive and nurturing work environment led by a dedicated and dynamic senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of warm and friendly school community that is expanding, in addition to a progressive multi academy trust.
