We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher who is an experienced, skilled and strategic leader and who challenges students to be the best that they can be. 

You will be a strategic thinker, effective communicator and able to drive improvements in all areas of our school. This is a position for a highly motivated person capable of making an immediate impact. We seek a passionate educator, relentless in the pursuit of improved standards and outcomes. You will be inspirational and energetic, with unwavering determination to ensure the provision of a positive, secure and happy environment for both students and staff at our school.

The post holder will have strategic responsibility for a number of key areas tied to the school’s development plan. The exact roles and responsibilities will be discussed with the successful candidate as part of a review of strengths and experience to date. In addition, it is desired that applicants have a range of experience across a number of school leadership roles (curriculum and pastoral) with evidence of impact.

St Benet Biscop is a popular and oversubscribed school which is highly regarded within the community and we offer a high-quality education in a Catholic / Christian environment. St Benet Biscop is part of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust, and we enjoy working regularly with the other schools in the Trust.

The school is looking for a practising and committed Catholic teacher for the post of Deputy Headteacher. 

The Local Governing Committee and Headteacher are seeking candidates with:

·        A passion for providing the best possible holistic education for all students

·        Substantial and successful senior leadership experience in a secondary setting

·        A high degree of personal integrity, strong personal drive and resilience
