As a Deputy Headteacher in our Lowestoft Centre, you will be given everything you need to create an environment that allows pupils and staff to flourish and succeed.

We are looking to attract ambitious, skilled and energised leaders to enable us to inspire young people to find their own story of success.

As we grow, we aim to establish sector-leading Ofsted ratings, amazing educational outcomes and the highest levels of therapeutic support by ensuring each of our settings are led by a strong and inspirational leadership team.

Could you be our new Deputy Headteacher and help to create a truly unique learning environment?

Warren School provides sector-leading education, therapeutic support and care for smaller groups of young people.

Warren School benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes, highly resourced learning environments and amazing academic and vocational options. This approach goes beyond that of a traditional school environment by considering the unique profile of additional support required by young people with significant needs. We have extremely close links with our parents and carers, and with the many external bodies who all support our unique approach.

For each young person our school provides wraparound support, encouragement and understanding, enabling the development of confidence, belief and the potential to shine.

Our passionate, experienced and skilled education, care and therapy staff teams support each young person to develop their social and independence skills. Our classes are staffed by highly qualified and experienced teachers and teaching assistants and offer a full well-planned and structured curriculum with highly personalised and structured educational support.

To be the next Warren School Deputy Headteacher you will:

  • be a multi-talented charismatic professional with a sound understanding of implementing a non-subject-specific curriculum in an SLD/PMLD school environment
  • have great leadership and communication skills; endless enthusiasm, resilience and vision and a commitment to both the education and the achievement of each and every child.

In return, we will provide you with the opportunity to make a real difference whilst honing your leadership skills within a strong support framework.

You will be given both the freedom and support to be able to achieve outstanding outcomes, emotionally, socially and academically, for every child and young person.

As Deputy Headteacher at Warren School, you will:

  • support the Headteacher to ensure that every member of staff is dedicated to achieving the very best outcomes for our children and young people
  • help us to develop a culture of learning with 'outstanding' standards
  • need to bring your dynamic approach and enthusiasm; calmness and consideration; and experience and insight.

We will also help you continue your professional development and ensure you have everything you need. You can expect both support and positive challenges from an experienced CEO, as well as access to specialists, focused on a range of key areas including school improvement; safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion; assessment and quality evaluation; therapeutic services; and commercial and communication.

Your wellbeing and that of your family is important to us.

Whilst we are all committed to giving our all to improve outcomes for our young people, we also prioritise the health and wellbeing of our staff. We offer a comprehensive flexible benefits and support package, but also emphasise team working to get the job done.
