About Longshaw Primary Academy

Longshaw is a one form entry primary school in Chingford, catering for children from Nursery to Year 6 (3 – 11 year olds). We also run a popular morning Parent Toddler group once a week run by our well qualified and experienced early years staff.

Longshaw is a single storey, post war purpose built school located in spacious grounds. We have two playgrounds and well-resourced separate outdoor play areas for both our Nursery and Reception children to enjoy.

At Longshaw we value our community and its diverse cultures and take pride in our children and their determination to succeed. Through our work we aim to create an environment in which children actively engage and enjoy learning and are rightly proud of their efforts. Our ultimate aim is for the children to become independent, confident, resilient, high achieving learners and responsible adults of the future.

Longshaw is a busy but friendly school. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where everyone is valued and pupils feel safe to take risks in their learning. We have a very active and supportive group of parents (LAF) and other members of the school community who help fundraise and regularly support a wide range of activities.
