Then why not join Co-op Academy Delius our high achieving, friendly academy for pupils from 2 - 11 years with a range of complex education and medical needs and assist us to secure an exceptional quality of education for our pupils.

This fantastic opportunity to join our ambitious and successful leadership team has arisen due to the retirement of one of our current Deputy Headteachers who has been in post since 2011. In the role of Deputy Headteacher with SENco responsibility, you will play an integral, key role supporting the Headteacher with the management and organisation across our Academy in seeking to achieve the highest quality education and ensure the highest possible standard of pupil achievement and school efficiency. You will deputise in the absence of the Headteacher and act as a "Person in Charge" by managing daily operations where necessary. Your knowledge of The Code of Practice will be strong and you will be able to implement systems and processes that will ensure statutory requirements are met effectively. You'll have a passion for primary SEND and a desire to ensure that all pupils receive the best possible education.

You will be accountable for measuring, monitoring, evaluating and improving standards within the Academy and ensure that there is a robust team approach to quality assurance that leads to improved outcomes. By developing the distributive leadership model you will maximise the contribution and collaboration of all staff. You will lead on admissions and transitions within the Academy and work collaboratively with the Local Authority and other agencies. You will be responsible for effective and efficient systems being in place to ensure annual reviews of EHCP’s are undertaken and as a result pupils needs are met and provision is in place. Working collaboratively with external agencies and the wider community you will ensure the holistic needs of pupils are met and will lead an Outreach Programme which supports and improves provision for mainstream SEND pupils within the Trust and the Local Authority Area.

Following a recent positive Ofted inspection in September 2023, in which we were rated "Good" it is an exciting time to join our school as we continue on our journey to become an outstanding school where children and young people can thrive and achieve their full potential.
