About this position 

We’re looking for an experienced and qualified H&S and Facilities Management professional to provide support to, and deputise for, the Premises & Contract Monitoring Manager; this will entail effective site management in relation to cleaning, security and site maintenance, along with responsibility for all soft and hard services. 

You will be accountable for PPM, tendering and effectively managing third party contractors. Most importantly, you will ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, including fire safety, conducting risk assessments and producing reports and actioning improvement plans. 

About You 

You will need at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role ideally gained within a school environment.  NEBOSH certificate level is preferred along with an NVQ4 or higher in Facilities Management.     

We are looking for someone who is collaborative and flexible, who looks to find working solutions to often challenging situations.  Supremely well organised, you will need to coordinate audits, produce reports and maintain full records. You will need to be a competent IT user to maintain spreadsheets and prepare regular reports.  

A strong negotiator, you will engage optimum contractors using robust procurement procedures, securing best value, to deliver high quality services (electrical, gas, fire protection and detection, air conditioning and ventilation etc.)   

We are looking for someone who will be highly visible on site, vigilant and proactive, trusted by colleagues who can build upon our existing facilities and H&S systems.
