This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and inspirational leader. Strong experience in secondary education is crucial.

Our Academy

Our Academy opened in September 2013 with 120 students in Year 7 and has grown year on year with our Sixth Form opening in September 2018 and our founding cohort starting prestigious and exciting university courses last September.

Through love, nurture and a rigorous academic focus our vision is to support every child and help them climb the stairs to greatness, becoming model citizens and future leaders. All students are welcome with us, regardless of starting point, need or complexity. We are totally inclusive and believe that all students here will ‘Climb the STAIRS to Greatness’ and reach our two end goals of getting their dream job and becoming a model citizen.

Our students are happy, motivated and kind and we want our alumni to be highly desired and sought after by world-leading organisations but always remain humble, giving back to our local community.

The foundations of our academy rest on excellent teaching and staff have the highest possible expectations of all our students. There are no excuses and no limits to what they can achieve if we all: students, staff and families work together.

About you

You will be an experienced senior leader with a proven track record of school improvement, ideally with experience in inner-city, multi-cultural areas. As a calm and reflective leader, you will have the skills to build the capacity of our very able Leadership Team. A sound understanding of school improvement strategies is key, as well as the ability to manage change and motivate staff and the community towards the achievement of clear and inspirational goals.

We welcome applications from both experienced deputies and those wishing to take the next step in their career.

Ofsted report

“The academy has outstanding systems for monitoring and evaluating all aspects of its work, particularly students’ attainment and progress. The academy council and the Oasis Board are vigilant. They contribute extremely well to maintaining outstanding teaching and achievement. The curriculum is outstanding. It is underpinned by innovative enrichment activities which contribute to boosting students’ confidence and goals. Physical education is taught effectively off site because the academy does not have the facilities. Students have a strong work ethic; their social responsibility and pride in the Oasis community are particular strengths.”
