We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational, suitably qualified Design & Technology Teacher to join our Design Technology Department. You will be a self-motivated, reflective and creative practitioner. Your teaching will inspire our students to be the best that they can be leading to superior outcomes for all our students. Design Technology at The Forest School includes Resistant Materials, Electronics, Graphics and Food Technology. Students from Yr.7 follow a Design Technology curriculum and DT is a popular GCSE and A level option subject.
Staff at the Forest School teach in modern, well equipped classrooms and are offered a tailored CPD programme. Staff are allocated a laptop, have access to the school’s sporting facilities as well as the lively staff social calendar.
The school is investing in new technology with projects including the development of the school WIFI network, implementing a new data management system and we have launched Show My Homework to students in Spring 2018. In addition, we have invested in our sporting facilities, upgrading our indoor swimming pool, investing in our gym and we are working with Reading Football Club to further develop our facilities. We are developing a Duke of Edinburgh program for our students and anticipate this will be launched in Autumn 2018.
