If you are an experienced Design and Visual Communications (DVC)/ Graphics teacher and are looking to teach in beautiful New Zealand – now is the time to take action!

Gore High School, located in Southland is seeking an exceptional DVC teacher with experience at senior levels, to take on this permanent position from Term 2 (April 29th, 2019) as a preference although negotiation will be considered for the right candidate.

With a roll of around 500 students, the school is large enough to provide a wide and varied curriculum, including a thriving Technology department, while having the ability to cater to the individual needs of each student. The school also has a quality boarding facility to cater for those students from further afield.

The leadership team and staff place strong emphasis on lifelong values of respect, responsibility, participation, and community. This well-respected high school has a proud tradition of educational excellence and strong school culture of ‘Courtesy, Effort and Responsibility.’

The Technology department comprises of four highly experienced staff who have produced a range of well-developed courses and resources to the immense benefit of their students. The facilities are modern consisting of two workshops, one specialising in wood, and the other in metal, as the main materials. Both workshops have a design area. In addition, there is a Design and Visual Communications classroom and a central office, which allows for staff to plan, discuss and work in collaboration.

Gore is a small, friendly, rural New Zealand town of around 10,000 people and in close proximity to many beautiful South Island attractions. A day trip to Dunedin, Invercargill and weekends at the ski-fields around Queenstown are only a couple of hours drive away. The school serves both the town of Gore and the surrounding rural areas, and the low cost of living in the region makes this a popular choice for families.
