Design Technology (Product Design and Textiles) Teacher

Wimbledon High School explores Design Technology in a fun, creative and functional way and we now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to ensure students fulfil their potential.

Teaching with expertise and enthusiasm, you will develop ways to encourage, challenge and inspire pupils, utilising an appropriate range of teaching strategies and resources. You will also offer support to the learning of individual students and contribute to the school’s pastoral system.

The ideal candidate will have teaching qualifications to degree level, or the equivalent in either Product Design or Textiles and have an excellent record of classroom teaching. They should also have a clear philosophy about how students learn and progress. An ability to use ICT and CAD/CAM within Design and Technology and offer KS3 Product Design and Textiles is desirable and a willingness to learn new skills would be advantageous.
