We are seeking to appoint an individual who loves to teach and loves to learn and who has a passion for all aspects of Design Technology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a popular and progressive department within a consistently high achieving school. Progress 8 in 2018 was once again above zero at 0.35. SJC is one of the highest achieving Boys schools in the area and and is an excellent foundation for further career progression.
The department is popular at KS4 and KS5 and the College also offers BTEC Engineering in the 6th form. This role would suit an NQT wanting to fast track their career or someone looking for their first responsibility post. The successful applicant will be passionate about the subject, able to teach all areas of Technology, be well organised and willing to go the “extra mile” to ensure pupils achieve.
We are looking for applicants who are highly motivated and ready to contribute to helping the College as we build on our 2016 Good OFSTED rating.
You must:
- Be a passionate advocate of the subject who contributes effectively to departmental and whole school improvement.
- Be highly motivated and demonstrate the highest professional standards
- Be willing to teach across the full age and ability range at age including A-level.
- Be able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school.
