The DT – Technical Assistant will support the day to day running operations of the Design & Technology workshops & kitchens, providing a valuable service to all Design Technology staff and students along with oversight and maintenance of the DT facilities and equipment. The right candidate will have experience in relating to Occupational Health and Safety which require you to recognise and support all of the School's Workplace Health and Safety Manuals, Policies, and Procedures, in addition to taking reasonable care to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others at the workplace. A Building or Trade Certificate or background in a Trade would be an advantage but NOT mandatory in this role. Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   12 Months

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   15 Hours per week - once timetable completed days/hours required can be negotiated.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Level 3 School Officers Award

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
