Job overview

A unique opportunity presents itself for an innovative and visionary leader to join Dulwich International High School Zhuhai (DHZH), located in a green and modern city at the confluence of the Pearl River and the South China Sea.  DHZH opened in 2010 and was the fifth school to be established by Dulwich College International, the fastest growing UK independent school network overseas. Today, the school educates over 300 students from 14 to 18 years old, the majority of whom are Chinese nationals, although students of other nationalities (mainly of Malaysian and Korean heritage) also attend. DHZH prepares its students for the world’s best universities through outstanding English language support, an extensive co-curricular programme and a strong sense of community. Excellent IGCSE and A-Level results, coupled with a genuine focus on developing the individual, ensure students thrive not only at top universities, but also go on to become leaders of the future who will build bridges to other cultures and Live Worldwise.

As part of the Dulwich College International network, DHZH is able to offer both students and staff opportunities that a single school would not be able to provide. DCI has developed a comprehensive school leadership system that provides individual schools with independence and autonomy while at the same time ensuring each College embraces their Worldwise philosophy. The Director is a member of the DCI Steering Group, which helps shape network educational initiatives across the College and High School programmes.

The successful candidate will be an established leader and educator who inspires individuals, understands international contexts, places students first and ensures that teaching and learning is at the heart of all their decision-making. Dulwich College International welcomes applicants from a diversity of curriculum contexts.
