DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION – SECONDARY

BASED IN SUTTON COLDFIELD, WEST MIDLANDS

We are looking to appoint a Director of Education- Secondary to join our Central Executive Team, and in doing so are looking for someone who is highly innovative, creative, and has an eye for success, ensuring ATLP remains at the forefront of MAT development.

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is a highly successful Multi Academy Trust (MAT) encompassing 5 secondary schools, 11 primary schools, a Teaching School, and School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider.  Our schools are based in North Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield and North Warwickshire. A further secondary school and 2 primary schools have submitted applications to join ATLP during the next 12 months.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work within an outward facing and supportive, caring Trust. You will understand what school improvement looks like. This might have come from your experience as a successful headteacher, as an HMI or from a similar role in a different organisation. You will have the leadership and communication skills to further develop sustainable long-term impact, in collaboration with our brilliant teams. You will need to be both a highly effective coach and an inspirational mentor. You will have a deep understanding of the MAT environment and the secondary sector. You will be strategic, ambitious and innovative. You will be committed to ensuring children are given the very best possible life chances. Your ability to work closely with and across our family of schools, further developing strong relationships and effective networks is essential.

We can offer a competitive remuneration package including:

• Salary circa £110,000 (please see information on compa-ratio pay)

• Up to 30 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays and 4 concessionary days

The successful candidate will:

• Be a professional, highly motivated individual, with excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills, able to communicate, build relationships and network effectively with all stakeholders at all levels.

• Have a proven track record of school improvement.

• Be able to give strategic direction to a team of headteachers.

• Be resilient, flexible and able to demonstrate an ability to work well in a very busy environment, remaining calm under pressure.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement of the role.
