This is a new and exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to develop our English and maths strategy to attain our vision to become outstanding in this area. 

You will provide outstanding leadership and management across the college group in respect of learners' achievement in English and maths.  Through this every student and apprentice will experience the highest quality teaching and will be supported to achieve the very best outcomes and progressions.

You will manage a staff team to become highly achieving practitioners and create a centre of excellence for English and maths. You will work closely with the Excellence and Improvement team, to pursue an outstanding teaching and learning experience for all students by ensuring effective planning for learning that is innovative, experimental and engaging. This will impact positively on learning outcomes, higher grades and positive progression. 

You will have achieved a Level 5 or equivalent relevant qualification and be fully teacher qualified. Your experience will include leading the quality of teaching and learning towards outstanding, providing effective management for a large and diverse cross-college service and experience of leading quality assurance activities which drive continual development of provision. 

Recognised as being ‘Good’ in all areas of our last Ofsted inspection, with some outstanding features, we are ambitious for our learners and have established a ladder of opportunity with the possibility of progression in every sector subject area in order to increase life chances, enhance career prospects and improve social mobility.
