We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to the new post of Director of Finance which has been created to add a business and operational dimension to our Leadership Team.
The Director of Finance will provide overall strategic and operational leadership and management for all aspects of finance, HR, ICT, administration and operational support and be responsible for overseeing community access and use of the school site. In the current uncertain financial climate within the education sector it is important that all financial resources are deployed efficiently and effectively, observing the need to demonstrate value for money (VFM) and to support the school in achieving the very best educational outcomes for its students. This will be a core responsibility for the successful candidate. There is an expectation that the Director of Finance will proactively seek to secure additional funding streams from both charitable and government sources as appropriate.
As an integral part of the School Leadership Team it will be necessary for the postholder to attend governor meetings and contribute to discussions about the future strategic direction of the school.
There will also be line management responsibilities associated with this role including the HR Manager, Site Manager, Network Manager, and two finance administrators.
