Job overview

Reporting to and working closely with the Head, the Director of Finance will have direct access to the Board of Governors and will be required to attend meetings of the Board, Finance and General Purposes Committee, Audit Committee, Investment Sub-Committee and Estates Sub-Committee.

A member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Finance will provide strategic direction and leadership of financial matters of the school in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.

The Director of Finance will have strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrable knowledge and understanding of developing and implementing financial plans and a proven record of acting entrepreneurially.  Project management experience is also required, as is experience of change management in a senior role.

Having outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the Director of Finance will be required to influence, negotiate and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and balance a number of priorities.
