Job overview

Director of Golf

Loretto School is one of Britain’s leading independent boarding and day schools located on the outskirts of Edinburgh and we have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Golf to join our team.

The successful candidate will be the driving force for ensuring the LGA remains at the forefront of schools’ golf.  The role requires someone with vision, energy and drive.  Our Director will need to be a talented and respected coach and he or she will also have the skills to communicate with other colleagues in the school as well as parents and prospective parents.

Travel is part of the job with tournaments taking place throughout the UK and overseas.  We regularly take groups to Desert Springs in Spain and transatlantic trips were a feature of the programme pre COVID.

Golf camps, some of which are residential, are offered out of school term and serve as both a shop window to LGA as well as providing a high quality experience for children.  It is not uncommon for children who enrol on camps to subsequently join the School as pupils.

The right candidate will enjoy working in an exciting but challenging environment and form an integral part of the School’s leadership team and the wider School Community.
