We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Director of Learning - Business, Economics & Finance, starting from September 2024.

As Director of Learning, you will lead the development in ensuring the highest of standards across the department to ensure the Quality of Education within the business and IT faculty is of the highest level ensuring excellent outcomes for our young people. This is a fantastic role where you will have a direct impact in developing the business and IT department to make it even better and grow our talented team to secure the very best outcomes for students at our academy.

As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, the IB philosophy is at the heart of our curriculum. We offer the IB Middle Years Programme for Years 7-9, a programme designed to nurture happy, curious, well-rounded, independent, globally aware, and resilient students. Moreover, our students enjoy an extensive range of clubs and activities. We are one of the largest Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award providers in the South, with hundreds of students achieving Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels every year. Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st April 2024, our Trust comprises 32 geographically organised academies (16 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 20,000 students and employing 3,000 talented staff. Nearly 40% of our academies are judged outstanding overall by Ofsted, versus 15% nationally. About Stationers' Crown Woods Academy

The academy has a zero tolerance approach to misbehaviour and low-level disruption, our behaviour systems are tightly managed so that teachers are able to focus on delivering high quality teaching in a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning. The £50 million campus incorporates four home schools each serving 450 students, alongside a range of state-of-the-art resources for sport, the arts and digital communication. This structure has enabled us to build an academy where every pupil is able to achieve their full potential. An academy where no child feels lost and no child is left behind.
