DIRECTOR OF LEARNING - HISTORY
The governing body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Director of Learning History to join our outstanding department. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher, have first rate leadership skills and have the aspiration to become a senior leader. We are an inclusive school and we welcome applications from both Catholics and non Catholics.
Cardinal Newman Catholic School is an 11-19 mixed Voluntary Aided school, with 800 pupils currently on roll. The school is over-subscribed. The school has an excellent reputation for both our academic results and our pastoral care. We are a Central South ‘Hub School’ offering school to school support to other schools in the consortium. We are also a Welsh Government New Deal School. Our rolling three year average for L2 Threshold (Including Maths and English) is over 70% We are a ‘Green School’ and ‘Standards Group One’ in the new Welsh Government banding. We consider ourselves an ‘Excellent’ school and eagerly await having this confirmed in our next inspection. The successful candidate will lead the subject across all Key Stages.
