The Director of Music (P-12) has the primary responsibility for leading and developing all aspects of the School's music program. The purpose of this role is to provide leadership in the planning and achievement of education programs aligned with current and future trends in education. They are responsible for leading and managing the Music department staff and working collaboratively to develop a culture of academic and performance excellence within the Music department and wider School.

The Director of Music (P-12) will have an outstanding record as a classroom Music teacher and considerable experience in teaching all levels of the music curriculum. They will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, highly developed organisational and administrative skills and an ability to manage and coordinator staff and the day to day activities of the Music department. 

As a leading educator, evidence-based best practice in the delivery of classroom and co-curricular music programs is essential. As such, relevant qualifications in teaching music are required, including knowledge and experience in Orff-Schulwerk and Kodály methodologies and teaching practices. 

The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain a paid NSW Working With Children Check as well as NESA registration, as requirements of this role.
