Pride in Excellence, unlocking Academic and Personal Potential

West Midlands

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Primary at Windsor Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust in the West Midlands. Having grown from one school to seven schools in five years, this is an exciting time to join WAT and lead on school improvement and quality assurance strategies across our five primary academies. Recognised for our collaborative and aspirational culture and success in improving the outcomes for the young people of our region, WAT is an ambitious Trust that welcomes those who want to inspire, develop and enhance the life-chances of children.

We are at a significant juncture in our development which will see the Trust grow in our region and are therefore seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as our new Director of Primary. Reporting to the Chief Executive you will lead on the school improvement strategy, developing capacity and providing clear support to the Headteachers of our schools but also organisational leadership as part of the Trust’s senior leadership team.

With substantial Primary Headteacher experience you will bring a track record of raising standards, working collaboratively and driving success. You will need the skills to articulate a clear vision, inspire those you work with and provide visible leadership. In return you will be supported by a Trust with shared values, operates with absolute integrity and provides a professional and personal development culture for its staff. Working closely with the Headteachers, our CEO and senior leadership team, you will have strong relationship management skills, exceptional communication skills and technical proficiency.

We are a Trust that does not work in a hierarchical manner but provides autonomy along with accountability. This is a role for a highly motivated, ambitious and values driven individual who has a desire to deliver improvements across our schools and work as effectively as possible to ensure a high quality education for all.
