We are seeking to appoint an exceptional professional to join our Trust Leadership Team as Director of Science in our secondary phase. Providing strategic direction, leadership and management of science education across our schools, you will support our vision that all learners can grow in mastery of science whatever their prior attainment. We aim for our learners to become fluent in their use of science and this role will see you support your colleagues allowing them to fully embed the aims of the national curriculum, so that all pupils make exceptional progress in science, thus facilitating and unlocking potential in a wide range of other disciplines.
Lionheart Academies Trust was formed by Beauchamp College. We are very proud of our students; the progress they make consistently places us in the top 100 state schools nationally and we seek to build on this, further breaking down any barriers to learning and ensuring that each provider in our trust is able to embed excellence in all areas of practice.
Ultimately, we believe that any young person from any background deserves an equal chance to be successful in whatever they choose to do. We want to share our love of learning with all young people in our care by preparing our students with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in a competitive world.
The Trust currently comprises three primary schools and two secondary schools - Beauchamp College in Oadby and The Cedars Academy in Birstall. By September 2018, there are plans for up to four more secondary schools, from the Leicester and Leicestershire area, to join the Trust bringing the number of children educated within the LAT to over 8,000. As our trust grows, there will be clear opportunities for career progression.
If you want to make the next step in your career, with an employer who will listen to you, challenge and support your decision-making, and provide a wealth of resource to fulfil this fantastic opportunity, your application will be welcomed.
Visits to our trust are welcome; please email Vanessa Perkins, Principal’s PA firstname.lastname@example.org to agree a mutually convenient time.
