Director of Sport/Head of PE

An outstanding and dynamic leader is required for August 2023. 

We seek an experienced leader of Physical Education and Sport to lead and manage our programmes across the school, for students aged 3 to 18. We offer a contextualised English National Curriculum up to Year 8, Edexcel GCSE PE from Year 9 and IB Diploma Sports Exercise and Health Science (SEHS). SEHS is a popular option and leaders with SEHS experience are encouraged to apply. Excellence in teaching and learning and a commitment to driving our thriving sports provision forwards are crucial aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will enhance our provision further; locally, nationally and internationally. We are members of FOBISIA and ACSIS  with high levels of participation and interest in school sports teams. Our Sports facilities include two Sports Halls, one of which opened this academic year, multipurpose outdoor courts, pool, dance studio, and outdoor grass field.

We also offer courses that focus on English, mathematics, life skills and employability through ASDAN programmes.

All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.

We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
