In May 2017, The Mead School joined the Wishford Schools group. Founded in 2011, the group currently comprises nine independent schools in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Kent. The group aims to provide an excellent education to all pupils, giving every child the opportunity to shine. THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Director of Sport (full or part time) to join a supportive, caring and professional team. The successful candidate will be passionate about Physical Education, be able to lead, manage and drive forward the Sport Department. There will be an expectation to deliver a broad offering including continuing our fixtures with the local schools, and extra-curricular clubs across the age range. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced qualified teacher to deliver a vision for inclusive excellence.

Candidates are sought who can demonstrate a track record of successful teaching and particular aptitude for:

• Communication and relationship-building with pupils, parents and colleagues; 
• Pastoral care and support of individuals;
• Planning and delivering high quality lessons and fixtures;
• Using of a range of assessment to inform planning and learning;
• Working in a cohesive, supportive and sociable team;
• Inspiring others, and displaying a passion for sport and performance.
