St Paul’s Way Trust School, in association with Queen Mary, University of London, and King’s College, London, seeks to appoint an exceptional Director of Sport to join our experienced team of senior middle leaders. With senior responsibilities across our through school (4-19), the successful candidate will champion the development of Physical Education and sports in all years, both within the curriculum and as part of an expansive extra-curricular programme centred on participation. The successful candidate will develop and lead a strategy for improving student health and wellbeing that includes programmes that cultivate metal resilience.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented leader with a passionate commitment to putting sport provision and student health at the heart of the school curriculum. The successful candidate will develop an inspiring vision to embed PE and sports at the heart of the St Paul’s Way Graduate Curriculum.

You will be an outstanding teacher, and will have experience of success in growing provision in a secondary school setting. You will have a track record of raising standards in PE and have guided students to have achieved sporting success more generally. You may already have led a PE department or you may be an exceptional teacher with a wide and varied track record of developing teams and successful individuals across a wide variety of sporting disciplines.

In March 2013, Ofsted described our school as ‘outstanding’ in every category and commended for its “relentless pursuit of scholarship and excellence”. Our 4 – 18 ‘Through-School’ provision opened in September 2014 and in the same year the school designated as a National Teaching School. Professor Brian Cox OBE is our patron.

If you would like to play your part in ensuring outstanding provision for our students, we would very much like to hear from you.
