Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. The trust is committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment and exists to serve the students in its care. We encourage all schools within the trust to celebrate their distinctive identity, whilst actively supporting each other to share best practice and their commitment to continual improvement.

In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.

In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains ten academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.

Our people are key to our continued growth and success. There is a relentless focus on improving standards for all children and young people in our care.  Working within the trust gives all staff the opportunity to work with some of the best practitioners and leaders, regardless of your location.

Our improvement strategies are based on clear systems and support, from our outstanding behaviour systems to regular teacher led CPD sessions, the trust recognises the value of empowering staff through quality weekly CPD, training and support. At the heart of our people strategies are the opportunities for staff at all levels to develop and progress their career.
