Changing Lives, Building Futures

Our vision is simple, but it is a fundamental part of our mission to make a positive difference in our children’s lives. As a domestic assistant in our school, you will be the one who take care of our facilities and carries out cleaning duties to keep the school clean, tidy, and safe, so our pupils can learn in the best possible environment.

The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.  You will be responsible for all basic cleaning in and around the school building. This can entail dusting; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and ensuring restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and restocked.

You will be responsible for keeping all areas of the school building clean, meanwhile being aware of the COSHH and Health and Safety implications of the role. You will liaise with the school Safety, Health and Environment Officer and assist with any additional duties as and when needed.

New Beginnings

At Cedar House is well placed to provide a new ‘sense of belonging’ for young people. We pride ourselves on achieving this as quickly as possible. When everyone adopts this approach, we help pupils to feel safe, secure and, most importantly, significant within our school community. Many of our children have NEVER had this feeling before and it is vital that we reverse the negative downward spiral of adverse experiences within previous schools.

A Team Player

Our domestic staff are an important part of the wider school team and are motivated to provide a safe, secure, and clean environment for our pupils to live and learn in. We make a big difference and are fulfilled by the idea of achieving even the smallest positive changes in our young people’s lives.

As a Domestic Assistant at Cedar House School, you will get all the support you need to succeed and be the best at what you do.
