Job overview

The Music Department at require an inspirational and enthusiastic Double Bass Teacher to teach an individual pupil at Talbot Heath School.  They will be required to plan, resource and arrange high quality individual music tuition on an individual basis. This is being offered on a fixed term basis for this academic year, but should the demand for this instrument continue, the contract will be reviewed.

A relevant musical qualification and teaching experience are essential and a teaching qualification is desirable. The successful applicant will be required teach a variety of styles and be keen to lead and/or support ensembles. The ability to also offer piano accompaniment is desirable but not essential to the position. The ability to communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues is of the utmost importance. 

Talbot Heath is an independent girls’ school for ages 3-18 set in pleasant grounds in Bournemouth, with an outstanding academic record.
