Design and Technology Technician (RM)
(Term-time only)

 36 hours per week
Salary: Scale 5 - £22506 - £24,510 pro-rata  

We require from December 2017, a highly skilled and qualified Design and Technology Technician to support the DT Faculty. The post holder will, under the guidance of the Head of Faculty, provide technical support to the Faculty and manage the resources and equipment in relation to DT workshops. Duties will include material and project preparation; assisting within workshops and classrooms on large projects or with larger groups; providing technical support as and when required; maintenance of tools and to manage the servicing of machines.
 

The successful candidate will have:

· Previous experience working in a similar role

· Good practical skills 

· The ability to work on their own initiative

· Good ICT and communication skills

· A passion for education

· An awareness of Health & Safety issues

· A commitment to safeguarding children.

Support and development:

At Heartlands, we use School IP to track and support training and ongoing CPD. Depending on your need and level of experience, you will be placed on a training pathway.

The CPD plan is released in September each year and includes a range of internal training sessions before and after school as well as on inset days.
