We are looking to recruit an engaging and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our strong and supportive team at Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane.

The purpose of the job is to be part of a team of professionals who facilitate a play-based curriculum for children in the EYFS phase of a primary school. The children explore and learn in an environment that is secure and safe, yet challenging. Play opportunities are non-stereotypical and available to all children promoting the teaching and learning from a skilled workforce.
Your role is to provide activities and make assessment judgements based on the seven areas of learning:
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
All of these areas of learning are important and inter-connected. You will be part of a team of practitioners whose role is crucial for igniting children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, building their capacity to learn and form relationships and thrive. Your input will enable children to be self-motivated learners who are confident to succeed.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age and supporting their learning
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, ideally holding NVQ 3 or NNEB qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years and Childcare
- An understanding of the key requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and the ability to develop effective strategies for engagin children, motivating them to learn and managing behaviour.
