What Can You Expect

We are a small, close knit, supportive team. We believe happy teachers deliver their best. EYFS teachers are exceptionally skilled and hard working - we understand and respect this.   

• We teach the British EYFS through holisitic, play based learning that places children’s interests at the heart of our teaching. 

• We provide children with a natural, homely learning environment that reflects the needs of the children and prioritises children’s independence and open ended learning. Please view our EYFS block and resources in the gallery below. 

• We provide open ended, natural and real life learning materials 

• Approaches that we follow in our early years include Plan, Do, Review, Helicopter Stories, Planning in the Moment, loose parts and process art – experience of these approaches would be advantageous

Our children are caring, respectful and love coming to school - you will spend your time promoting fun, creative and fulfilling learning for you and your class.  We are an international school and our students come from all over the world.  

Built in 2017, we offer a modern, purpose built, separate EYFS block, including double classrooms, outside learning spaces and an age appropriate playground including softplay and a garden. We enjoy small class sizes, designated class Teaching Assistants and specialist teachers for PE, Music and Languages.   

We are exceptionally well equipped with EYFS age appropriate learning resources, toys and games to promote outside classroom, continuous provision and enriching, play based learning. The environment is busy, energetic, natural and often messy.            

We aim for our staff to enjoy their school day but you will be busy! We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, flexible colleagues who get a 'buzz' out of creating special memories for children.              

We are also evolving. This is a chance to shape learning, resourcing and the physical layout of the EYFS block (we have lots of space to develop and expand in to).  

You will receive regular CPD from leading British and International via Cambridge Assessments, FOBISIA, COBIS and other external providers.               

We retain a rigorous safeguarding culture and safer recruitment practices. The school’s recruitment protocols adhere to the compliance requirements set for COBIS and FOBISIA member schools. Candidate references, one of which must be from the current head of school for teachers, may be checked and qualifications attested before interview – candidates should indicate if there is a concern with this at the point of application. Local police checks are required for Malaysian employees, together with a statement of medical fitness. Offers of employment are subject to candidates meeting the above requirements.We are a growing COBIS/FOBISIA member school, in our fourth academic year. To maintain our momentum in becoming a leading British international school, we are looking for a caring, experienced and qualified EYFS Teacher for a Term 1 2022/23 start (Term 1 commences in September 2022). Information for applicants:              

• Hands on experience of teaching the Early Years' Foundation Stage is advantageous.    
• At least 2 years' experience in an EYFS setting is highly desirable.   
• Applications from teachers based in the UK and in British based international schools are most welcome.    
• Only qualified teachers with a relevant degree relating to primary school education are eligible. Diplomas and language related qualifications do not meet requirements.     
• Fluency in English is essential.
