Early Years Leader

Traill International SchoolBangkok, Thailand

About the school:

Traill International School has recently celebrated its golden jubilee, thus making it one of the most established schools in Thailand. One of the main characteristics of the school is the homely and supportive atmosphere for both students and staff: we believe that students can only excel when in a supportive and safe environment. We are fully accredited by Education Development Trust (EDT), British Schools Overseas (BSO) and Sor Mor Sor (Department of Education in Thailand), and are members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), Bangkok International Schools Activities Conference (BISAC) and Thailand International Schools Activities Conference (TISAC).

We have students from KG up to Year 13 and we teach the National Curriculum leading to IGCSEs and A-Levels. Students leave the school to take up places throughout the world, including the UK and US. Our examination results are above the national average in the UK and are better than most comparable international schools. Most of the students are either Thai or Japanese and we have a large ESL department to provide the language support which may be needed.

Class sizes are small with an average teacher:student ratio of 1:8.The students are well-behaved, resulting in a really enjoyable teaching experience for the teachers.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Leader. Our Early Years department is going through a major development and we are looking for a highly qualified leader to drive this forward. The successful candidate must have considerable energy and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of the UK Early Years curriculum is also a prerequisite. The possibility of a senior management post could be available for applicants with the required amount of experience and leadership skills.

Thailand is a beautiful country and it really is the “Land of Smiles”, but Bangkok is a large, bustling Asian city with congested roads. The successful applicant must enjoy living and working in a foreign culture.

Remuneration will be competitive.
