Early Years or Primary class teacher

Almunecar International school is situated in a beautiful location between the mountains and the sea in the Costa Tropical between Malaga and Granada in Spain.

We are a small international school following the British curriculum but currently have a student population of 65% Spanish and a mixture of mostly English, Northern Europeans and Chinese making up the rest of the school population.

We are recruiting for the following teacher for a September start: an Early Years Foundation Stage or Primary class teacher (Fluent English speaker). We seek an experienced, flexible and well-qualified professional who combines creative energy with the highest teaching standards. Above all we seek a real commitment to academic excellence. We require a B.Ed. or PGCE (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience and qualified teacher status (QTS)

Profile: The ideal candidate will have 

• a good understanding of the importance of observing and assessing student's development in order to inform planning. 
• working knowledge of the EYFS / primary curriculum and will be able to create a welcoming and stimulating classroom environment.
• a flair for working with classroom assistants
• a team player who can communicate with their colleagues, other staff and parents in a positive, professional and productive manner. We are looking for a passionate, optimistic, curious and reflective educator who possesses a deep commitment to teaching and shows creativity in their work.
