Job overview

About the role:

Our amazing EYs teacher is off on a new adventure, making space for you to start yours!

We are looking for an inspirational, dynamic and creative teacher to continue the development of our EYs provision and lead English and phonics across the school. Ideally the position is for an EYs teacher, but KS1 will be considered. We are looking for all the usual pre-requisites plus that little bit of pizazz and we think we can offer you the same in return!

The role will provide the opportunity to share and develop outstanding practice within a vibrant and ambitious school. For the right candidate there will be opportunities to enhance your leadership skills and drive aspects of our school development. Let us help you make the next step in your teaching career. If you share our vision that everyone is valued and can nurture the individual qualities and strengths of both staff and children, please come and see us in action. This is an exciting opportunity for us to nurture a future leader.

Come and see for yourself what we have to offer: the benefits of a small school alongside the career opportunities, professional development, and shared working of a community-focused academy trust. Join our team and make a real difference to the children and families of Ongar.

Visits to the school are strongly recommended and warmly welcomed.  This can be arranged by contacting the school office admin@ongar-pri.essex.sch.uk.

Please also visit the Ongar Primary School website and the Bridge Academy Trust website for further information.

Ongar Primary School is based in Ongar and set in large and beautiful grounds. The school provides children with a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment.  All that we do at Ongar Primary is underpinned by our Three Rights: The Right to Respect, The Right to Safety and The Right to Learn.

Ongar Primary School is part of the Bridge Academy Trust: a collegiate and collaborative Trust, where, first and foremost, each school is a place of (high quality) learning, where young people ENJOY, ENRICH & ACHIEVE. The core purpose is to provide high quality continuity of every child’s journey through education from 3 to 19, with a community and school-led school improvement approach and long-term sustainable strategy.

This Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If successful, an enhanced DBS check would be sought. The Bridge Academy Trust welcomes applications from those of all backgrounds, faiths and ethnic groups.
