Job overview

1 year fixed term

In this key role you will join our Additional Support team and undertake the administration and co-ordination of Educational Health Care Plans for some of our mainstream students.

You will schedule review meetings and prepare all the appropriate documentation; liaising with students, their families and the Local Authority as necessary. You will take electronic notes of meetings and maintain accurate records of EHCPs.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to deal sensitively with students and their families are essential. You will also be a confident user of IT systems and be able to maintain accurate records and work with minimal supervision. Experience of working with people who have additional needs would be an advantage.

Educated to Level 2 minimum in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent), you also will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in IT and / or equivalent experience of using Microsoft packages.

 Leicester College is a further education college complex and one of the largest of its kind in England, with 22,300 students on the school roll as of the most recent inspection. This is comprised of mostly adults on part-time courses, and around 4,300 learners aged 16 to 19 on full-time study programmes.
