The school is seeking an Elementary Teacher to join their team in August 2021.

Teachers at Riyadh Schools are expected to display the following competencies:

  • Understands current research and best practice and apply this in teaching
  • Applies pedagogy to meet the needs of learners, particularly in regards to differentiation and EAL Learning

  • Understands culture and is emotionally and culturally intelligent
  • Contributes to their growth the growth of others and to the school development plan

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Teacher
  • Degree in teachable subject
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • American curriculum experience 
  • American qualifications preferred
  • Prior international experience preferred, particularly in the Middle East
  • Evidence of value adding to an organisation, extensive professional development and training, familiarity with school improvement, change and being agile.

Salary/benefits:

  • Teacher salary scale: US$4,000-5,000 per month, tax-free
  • Fully furnished apartment (1, 2 or 3 bedroom) with swimming pool and gym, within walking distance to mall
  • Utilities paid by school
  • Transport to and from school and daily after-school supermarket run
  • Return annual flight for teacher, spouse and 2 children
  • Medical Insurance (Class A) for teacher, spouse and 4 children
  • Visa and Residency Permit costs paid by school
  • Professional Development program and available scholarships from third year of service
  • Additional payment for after-school club

Riyadh Schools is a co-educational independent all-through school. It is based in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh Schools is managed by a board of directors appointed by the Misk Foundation and endorsed by its honorary president. It consists of nine members. The members are not allowed to work in the school during their membership term. The board of directors holds a meeting at least every six months during the academic year. The board of directors has full administrative and financial authority to run the school and is fully accountable to the Misk Foundation which in turn has the authority to veto the decisions it makes.
