We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Employability Adviser for our Adult Learning Directorate. As an experienced and qualified provider of employment information or careers you will be responsible for co-ordinating careers education, and supporting students to find employment. Substantial liaison with local employers and statutory agencies will involve some travel between local centres will be required.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the local job market, being aware of the opportunities available for employment, education and training for adult students. You will need to be enthusiastic with a good understanding of our students’ needs. In addition, you will need to have excellent organisational, record keeping and good communication skills. Experience of working in a further or adult education environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
If successful, you would play a vital role in the College, which is graded as ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted. We excel in providing a broad, inclusive and high-quality education to all of our learners. We were featured in the 2019 Parliamentary Review for best practice in further education for the second time and were awarded the Teachers’ Development Trust (TDT) Award this year for our comprehensive package of innovative and high impact professional development.

This is a full-time (36.5 hours per week), term-time plus an additional 5 days to be agreed by the line manager. The salary will be paid based on the Colleges’ Support staff scale, point 29 which is currently £23,496 per annum. (This will be pro-rata for term time only.)
