ENGLISH LEAD PRACTITIONER (L1 – L5)
FULL-TIME, PERMANENT CONTRACT
Starting 1st September or 16th April 2018, if possible, we are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to the newly created position of Lead Practitioner in English. The successful candidate will lead on teaching and learning across the faculty and join a team of people leading on professional development across the school. You will require a strong understanding of effective pedagogy and be capable of modelling excellence in the classroom. You will require the skills and confidence to inspire, support and challenge colleagues to improve their practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a colleague with future ambitions to move into whole school leadership of teaching and learning.
We are looking for a colleague with:

• an imaginative and creative approach to teaching and learning
• a shared belief in our inclusive ethos.
The John of Gaunt School is a fully comprehensive Academy for students from the ages of 11 – 18 years with approximately 1110 students on roll. We are a single Academy and actively promote collaboration with our feeder primary schools through Collaborative Schools Ltd and the West Wiltshire Alliance.
