We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and suitably experienced person to work as an Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (EDI) and Welfare Coordinator within the Student Services department.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all students have access to excellent information, advice and guidance in relation to a wide range of welfare issues, including sexual health, substance misuse, smoking cessation and financial support. You will also liaise with Guidance Managers to develop expertise in dealing with particular groups of students, e.g. young carers. Your communication and networking skills will ensure you develop and maintain links with external agencies in order to organise welfare related events and activities and implement best practice in the promotion of welfare within the College.
This is a permanent, part-time post, working 24 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (plus 11 days to be worked in the holidays). The pro rata starting salary is £15,579 per annum, which includes 4.9 weeks of holiday pay. This is based on spine point 34 within grade 7 of the support staff pay spine for which the full-time starting salary is £27,209 per annum rising to £29,765 per annum over four years, subject to satisfactory performance.
