We are seeking a first-class individual to join the School as Estate Manager in late-August 2021.  With demonstrable experience of planning and overseeing building projects and managing diverse teams, the Estate Manager takes day-to-day responsibility for management of the School’s estate, buildings and facilities and for site operations and security, and for reporting on Estate matters to the school governors.  


The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, prioritise, motivate and achieve excellence in their role through effective planning, management and communication, in an often responsive environment.

About Gresham's School

Gresham’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 2-18. It is situated in the Georgian town of Holt in beautiful countryside, just three miles from the breathtaking North Norfolk coast.

The school was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham who forged close ties with The Worshipful Company of Fishmongers. On his death, he left the school in their care and strong links with them and the City of London remain to this day.

The school enjoys a generous campus with excellent facilities including a state-of-the-art music building (Britten) with its own recording studio, indoor and outdoor performance spaces including a theatre (Auden), multi-surface sports pitches, tennis courts, swimming pool, sports hall and shooting range. The Dyson Building opened at Gresham’s in September 2021. Sir James Dyson, a former pupil at the school, enabled the innovative new centre for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education.

The school has an impressive list of Old Greshamians including the composer Benjamin Britten, the poet WH Auden, Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman and international rugby players Tom and Ben Youngs, to name but a few.
