We are one of the top-performing colleges in the country, situated in the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton & Hove. Working here offers the combination of both a wonderful place to work and a great city in which to live. Our students and staff are colourful, aspirational and hard-working – which is perhaps why 96% of employees would “recommend BHASVIC as a good place to work” and many of our students go on to Higher Education.
We wish to appoint a tutor of Italian to provide urgent cover for a current member of staff who is absent. You will be required to start 7th January 2019 and we anticipate the cover will be needed until Wednesday 13th February in the first instance, with the possibility of the cover then being extended.
Joining us, you will teach Italian Level 1 on a Monday and Italian Level 2 on a Wednesday. The evening courses run from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. You will also be appointed to our pool of Adult Language Tutors on a permanent basis. This means you will be contacted by the College in future years should other appropriate courses become available. There is a possibility of teaching between one and four evenings per week, depending on student numbers.
The current salary is £25 per hour. The hourly rate includes the administrative part of the job, such as schemes of work, lesson preparation, keeping records and assessment.
Join us and you can expect competitive pay and an excellent pension scheme, family-friendly working and a collaborative culture where ideas take flight together. Our Cycle to Work scheme, free counselling and occupational health service, discounted gym memberships and staff wellbeing events will keep you sharp, whilst our tailored induction programme and investment in your professional development – along with the possibility of funding for additional qualifications and to even take a sabbatical – will ensure an exciting future.
If you want to work in a contemporary creative learning community, then come and work at BHASVIC.
