Hours of work: 22.5hours per week over 3 days, term time plus 6 weeks (There may be additional Data Officer responsibilities available for the right candidate to bring the hours to full time.)  

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual to become the Exam Officer here at Flegg High School.   

General Responsibilities and Duties:  

a. To liaise closely with Subject Leaders to ensure correct entry levels for students, and maintain an accurate database of this. 

b. To download base data files from each examining board for the relevant examination period. 

c. To issue all candidates with Statements of Entry and to ensure they are able to check entry details prior to examination sessions. To then make all entries via electronic transfer systems 

d. To receive and thoroughly check all exam papers and materials, notifying exam boards of any shortfalls immediately 

e. To provide timetables for staff, students and invigilators, ensuring sufficient invigilators are available for each exam. f

. To be involved in the interviewing of and appointment of invigilators. To deliver subsequent training as needed to all invigilators to ensure they are fully informed about relevant guidance and processes 

g. To send of all coursework and controlled assessment forms according to board timetables, adhering to deadlines and ensuring staff are held accountable for meeting these same deadlines 

h. To liaise with the relevant boards as a result of any queries, appeals, or request for special consideration. 

i. To ensure examination rooms are set up as needed and that students know which room they should be at. To coordinate with Site team so that this happens effectively and without disruption 

j. To oversee the examinations checking with invigilators at regular intervals and ensuring staffing meets the needs of each examination k

. To collect in completed scripts, package and label them and send them to relevant exam boards 

l. To organise the receipt, collection and issuing of results as per instructions, and to assist in the collation of school wide statistics as needed
